The EEHW Committee handles the routine business and provides an informational forum for a number of County Departments and agencies, including Planning. The Committee has a number of responsibilities related to County planning. The following are examples of planning issues which are generally handled by the Committee:
- Reviewing Minor subdivisions (having less than six lots) and approving same, if they meet the minimum standards
- Providing recommendations to the County Board on major subdivisions
- Making recommendations to the County Board on special use, map and text amendments to the County Zoning Ordinance
- Providing general guidance and consent on office procedures
