Macon County Solid Waste Management Department has funds available for schools to start, expand & sustain recycling or source reduction programs within the school. Grant awards up to $500 are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Grant approved activities can, but are not limited to, recycling programs in the school building, efforts to expand current recycling programs, and/or environmental activities and/or programs to assist in supporting classroom projects.
