How do deal with leftover paint.

  • Buy only what you need.
  • Store paint properly. Wipe rim, place plastic wrap over opening, place lid on securely, turn up-side-down. Keep Latex paints from freezing.
  • Use up old paint.for small jobs, as primer, when final finish is not critical.
  • Recycle paint. Take leftover paint to a special collection for recycling or proper disposal.
  • Proper disposal. Solidified paint (air dried or bulked with absorbent material) and empty, dry paint cans may be put in your residential garbage. Place beside trash can with lids off.
